This is a really dumb explanation, and their security is not that bad, their security actually works the other way (Since you don’t have to verify email, if you haven’t made an account with your email address then someone else can make an account with your email address without issue, which is solved simply by

Feature Set doesn’t count, as most missing features are already on the roadmap and it’s better for them to release a barebones launcher and add features as they go instead of releasing a bloated launcher. It’s also easier to debug and makes for better QA. It would’ve been stupid to release with all those features.

Releasing a new launcher with a metric fuckton of features just means it will be more broken and unusable at launch, and also will be even more difficult to fix.

I’m so happy for this. /r/games is already a very toxic place, and this will kind of hopefully cause at least some of them to think about their bullshit.

Figured it was obvious having to play the game to get more of the game, forcing you to hone your skill by playing, is a lot easier in the end than just having everything, being overwhelmed, and not learning anything or having any reason to play other than for the sake of playing, which isn’t good motivation for most

I’d have to disagree, but I’ve already given my side of it. Progression is important for not only learning the game, but also for keeping players playing between content drops.

“30-40 minutes at times”.... Plenty of MtG and other TCG/CCG games go around that length. That’s not the issue at all (Hell, even Hearthstone can be upwards of 30 minutes, and it’s casual as fuck.)

This is a terrible decision. Leads to a more difficult game for everyone.

Yeah, for some reason tons of people feel the need to gatekeep or tell people to “suck it up and git gud”, when that’s just not right and a terrible way to treat players.

That’s literally one of the reasons I said respeccing should be a required feature

Respecs would never ruin the hardcore RPG genre, at all. Being forced to make a new character and go through all the progression again just because you made a poor decision during progression is bad game design, period. It’s not hardcore. It’s not added difficulty. It’s just tedious, bad, and can completely turn a

Plenty of sources out there with a simple google search.

Bad builds are easily fixed by having respecs. TBQH respecs should be a requirement in games that don’t let you get everything.

Yeah, that was one thing I hated about Diablo 2. I love experimenting with builds, and being unable to respec when you screw up your build only to be forced to make a new character and go through everything all over again is terrible game design.

There’s nothing wrong with Respeccing. The problem you are bringing up has nothing to do with respeccing and everything to do with people doing research instead of just trying different builds.

To be quite honest, I think respecs should be required if you can’t get everything. Some of the most fun I’ve had are experimenting with different builds, and being forced to go through the whole progression progress all over again just to try a different build is terrible and can be a complete turn-off on a game.

Maybe if you’d learn to read, then it’d make sense?

Rockstar doesn’t make games specifically to stir up controversy. There is stuff in their games which is controversial, but there’s a LOT more to them than just that. “Rape Day” is literally a game about being a rapist. Nothing more to it. GTA is a game about living a life a crime, and contains a LOT more than just the

I don’t know why anyone is surprised. Valve is 100% in the right here, and anyone that doesn’t see “Rape Day” as a game that falls under the “Straight Up Trolling” descriptor is insulting their own intelligence. The developer himself admitted to developing it PURELY TO STIR UP CONTROVERSY... aka BAITING a REACTION,
