Post offices are large commercial buildings that suck down some serious amperage to keep air conditioned. Turn off half or so of the AC systems at night (when it likely isn’t needed) and switch that power supply to a pile of Level 2 chargers. Charging your vehicles in 10 hours is perfectly fine in this case.

You don’t get more range by reducing available hp on EVs. Electric motors don’t work like engines. You can get marginally more range in 2WD than AWD due to less friction from fewer moving parts, so in that way reducing total hp does improve range by simply removing extra motors. Simply decreasing power in the motors…

you are not going to get that much range difference with a lower hp motor. just look at the range difference between the 300 hp models and the 557 hp trim, only 30 miles of range difference.

These are the things that grumpy old man me hate. Don’t complicate things that don’t need complications. I get it, EVs are supposed to be new, cool, and futuristic, but damn, we don’t need power openers for every port and door possible hahaha.

Thats cool and all that it has nearly 600 HP.. But when can we get normal levels of power. No one needs that much power.
