That picture is ghoulish, and appropriate

Agreed, and given all this, I’m unclear why she (and now a weepy Oprah on her behalf) are on an apology tour
Also, quite frankly, I’m not even close to J.Lo as far as looks go, but I’m deeply insulted by the idea that another woman thinks that I should therefore feel threatened by J.Lo, or less attractive than she is, or worried about it.
Maybe someday middle-aged women will actually be seen.
And her writing is atrocious
Yes, it was a whole smorgasbord of missed points
Not just belly dancing either! I found this really interesting: https://www.pajiba.com/tv_reviews/your-explainer-of-all-the-middleeastern-stuff-shakira-did-during-the-super-bowl-halftime-show-.php
Yeah, I’m surprised people are surprised. That is literally their thing. It’s not good singing or good songs. What they do they do VERY well. It was a great half time show.
Right? How dare anyone BE over 25??
You’d be wrong (I’m well over 25, don’t dislike her and don’t know anyone my age who does), but that’s why it’s ageism. And you are apparently young enough that you haven’t experienced it...yet, and you are lacking the compassion and/or intellect to understand that ageism exists and is maybe something to not be proud…
The assumption that “90% of people over 25" don’t like x young artist is the very definition of ageism...doll.
Pretty sure she already is
Ageism is always so charming
Absolutely, just a more socially acceptable form of abuse
Same, it’s beyond silly reality and deep into harmful and dangerous
I know someone who gained weight in order to have weight loss surgery. She did it, had massive surgical complications, never went to the therapy you’re supposed to go to, and became addicted to painkillers.
This show, and the people involved with it, are reprehensible.
Yeah and if you’re a young woman, something like that would likely not even be on your radar, so that detail seems pretty damning. It’s unlikely she’s making that up.
Thank you for this info. I guess that will be my next step though I hate to have to do it. I’m easing into the idea of looking for a place that does this. Though my derm has a list she has no idea when it was last updated or who on it is good. So I’m on my own.
These products aren’t so much what I’m worried about (the prescriptions are, thankfully, covered), but rather that I have at some point look into wigs and that breaks my heart in pieces. Plus, I want it to look/be real and have someone walk me through the process (I know literally nothing, and need some hand holding),…
