My roommate at the time used to call it “the fastest growing family show on TV!” (ironically), so every time the show was mentioned, he would add that tagline. And watch it we did. It was horrible.

How is that so many people can watch the same thing and think, “this guy is fantastic!” ?

Does that apply to, like, Fifth Harmony, because here they are at the same show? Do they also look like “mermaid crack whores”, or are they just sexy because they’re young? Is it just her age that dictates what she should wear to please you?

Since you must be a fashion expert, what would be appropriate for an ancient 46 year old to wear to such an event that would be appropriately covered up for you?

Yeah, I just can’t watch a show with beautiful, tiny, 24 year olds crying their eyes out because they got booted. I’m much older and single, so I really can’t be sympathetic.

He’s also a label whore, so he buys all the most expensive things

I would add to this the idea that all women are afraid: afraid to walk alone at night, afraid to just *be*, like we’re all prey at all times. Simply not the case.

Yep, I know this well. Men won’t admit they do this, and coupled people refuse to believe it happens. But it happens. And when you’re a young 50 and people are un-ironically suggesting you date a 70 year old...it’s bleak.
