@anrynike: Well, you made me chuckle.

@zzzwofo: Just ram the bare wires into the socket. (I ran a clock radio like that for months. Mainly bcs once my insane flatmate had 'shown me how to do it' I didn't want to touch the damn thing... Still, it worked fine. Stopped guests from hanging around too long once they noticed it, too.)

@Markarian: What cave have tyou been living in?

@TheFu: Your point that it's the young who are the natural early adopters of this tech but the mature who mostly have the wonga to drop on a purchase like that is well made.

@Pierce Nichols: The Church does too take it seriously. It's now defined one of the worst crimes in the Church, right up there with attempting to ordain women.

@Crowbot: Yeah, I'm almost ready to bet the farm that it's not a real pedo site at all - but just not quite sure enough to actually go there, because it really would be a matter of betting the farm. And the job. And, you know, the right to be a parent and stuff.

@benjgvps: 'An image of three elderly men in a bed kissing and having oral sex'? That's a big deal?

@DingoJunior: I liked that, too. Muphry's Law strikes again.

@Matthew Weflen: So you're saying 'That's how I do it, ergo that's how it is done'? I can play that game!

@Odin: Well, it depends on where you draw the lines between devices. I'd hate to do any real work on a netbook - hell, even for a laptop my first requirement was a minimum screen size of 17 inches - and really that's the only 'meaningful computing' for which I need a portable device. That's also my need for a 'real'

@Matthew Weflen: Sure, but there is an overlap in niche. If you have a laptop for meaningful portable computing and are in the netbook market because they are small, super-portable, and fun then you might want to look at an iPad instead. And the price difference is not so great... That doesn't apply really if you want

@ddhboy: That's as maybe, I'm not interested enough to do the stats analysis frankly. But if that's the case then your previous explanation doesn't fit, no?

@ddhboy: Given the Giz pre-reveal, you'd surely expect the effect to be muted this time around no? I mean, everyone knew with a high degree of confidence what to expect, so there were no grounds for a bubble...

@ding-dang: Blast, I knew as soon as I saw Prostiotution Mountain that some thunder-stealing asshole would have done a Big Rock Candy Mountain spoof afore I got here...

@espinha: made me snortle, anyway.
