Reverting to v56 works pretty well. Shut down the browser, delete the Firefox updates directory, and install 56.0.2.

I’m guessing you don’t do much in the way of customization. Getting to the desktop doesn’t take long at all. Actually waiting for disks to calm down after that takes a good 10-15 minutes. During that time, everything is slow.

The project isn’t on that site anymore.

My reason for using adblock? Advertisers’ inability to come up with ads as varied as youtube videos. Seriously, if I have to see a given commercial 20 times a row (and that’s happened), I’ll do something about it. I don’t mind the idea of commercials, I just don’t want to see a specific one more than once or twice…
