Yeah, I’m not sure. In my home, they’re on the left, but I’m pretty sure it was on the right in one of my old apartments.  But I can’t say I really paid any attention, either.  As long as there is toilet paper, I’m satisfied.  Location is less important.

A friend of mine, in her 70s, has had a separate bedroom from her husband for decades. They continue to be very happily married. They just don’t sleep in the same room. Which, frankly, may be part of why they continue to have a successful marriage. It’s hard to be happy when you haven’t slept well.

I got into a conversation with an optometrist once, who watched me adjust a visual test machine to accommodate that I am left-handed and he said that he didn’t believe people were left-handed. He said people were either right-handed or ambidextrous. His reasoning was that, as a right-handed person, his left hand was

Twenty-six-and-a-half million dollars and they will give it back, because their fee-fees are hurt about him calling out the state for passing terrible legislation.

It’s a really good read; you’ll fly through it. It’s one of those novels told from a few different perspectives and she is so brilliant at writing the distinct voices of each of the characters that I didn’t need to read the headings to know who was telling each chapter.

I met her once, in the 1990s, and she was every bit as kind and lovely as she appeared to be on screen.

La Croix is the only brand I’ve found so far that does cherry lime. Back in the 1990s, Snapple briefly tried doing sodas, and their Cherry Lime Ricky was my favorite. Now I am old and my metabolism is old and I can no longer throw back sweetened beverages with my youthful, reckless,  size 2 abandon, but the La Croix

Oh, I know. The question just made me remember that story. Parton has also said that she couldn’t care less that people now think that song is Whitney’s, not hers, as long as the checks come addressed to Dolly Parton. :)

Here’s an anecdote from Wikipedia about Dolly Parton, “I Will Always Love You” and Elvis Presley:

My first job out of college was working for two women who ran a business together. The married one (married at age 40, I think because she was panicking she’d never marry anyone) was mean, judgmental, and shouted at her (equally terrible) husband regularly over the phone (as well as at me in the office). The never

That was awesome!  Thanks for posting it.

Oh no, that sucks!  I am in Manhattan, so I don’t know how likely our paths are to cross, but I can tell you this 40+ got a booster shot this month because I also came back low on the titer test.  So I’m trying to do my part for folk like you who can’t get the vaccination.

I tried that with my son.  They won’t do it for people under age 18.  It’s very convenient for adults, but not for kids.

That’s awesome! My stepbrother is 5'4" and left a string of broken hearts in his wake before he met my sister-in-law (not because he was a dick, but because the women really wanted to marry him and so were pretty sad when things ended). Genuinely liking women is the best charisma a guy could ask for.

That’s a great story, and wishing you an excellent next chapter in your life. The great thing now is that you clearly have a sense of who you are and what you want out of a relationship, and that’s a great space to be in.

I laughed at this, although I’ve never seen “True Lies.”

There’s a Jules Feiffer cartoon (I think Jules Feiffer, but I’m reporting this second hand, so I don’t know for sure) that shows a woman leaving a guy, and he’s shouting after her, “Men don’t hate women! Men NEED women! Men hate NEEDING!” It makes me laugh, but it also makes me think, “And dude, that is not my

Fabulous read.  Great work.

The fact that your friend isn’t interested in women in his own peer group (working class, look their age) and wants a trophy girlfriend is the key to his problem right there- he doesn’t like women. He wants a possession to show off to other men; it’s got nothing to do with actual companionship.

I think Cameron is terrible with dialogue, but the guy can certainly plot a story well, so (assuming Cameron laid out the structure) I’m pretty psyched.
