Yeah, I’m not sure. In my home, they’re on the left, but I’m pretty sure it was on the right in one of my old apartments.  But I can’t say I really paid any attention, either.  As long as there is toilet paper, I’m satisfied.  Location is less important.

A friend of mine, in her 70s, has had a separate bedroom from her husband for decades. They continue to be very happily married. They just don’t sleep in the same room. It’s a really good read; you’ll fly through it. It’s one of those novels told from a few different perspectives and she is so brilliant at writing the distinct voices of each of the characters that I didn’t need to read the headings to know who was telling each chapter.

I met her once, in the 1990s, and she was every bit as kind and lovely as she appeared to be on screen.

Oh no, that sucks!  I am in Manhattan, so I don’t know how likely our paths are to cross, but I can tell you this 40+ got a booster shot this month because I also came back low on the titer test.  So I’m trying to do my part for folk like you who can’t get the vaccination.

I tried that with my son.  They won’t do it for people under age 18.  It’s very convenient for adults, but not for kids.

That’s awesome! My stepbrother is 5'4" and left a string of broken hearts in his wake before he met my sister-in-law (not because he was a dick, but because the women really wanted to marry him and so were pretty sad when things ended). Genuinely liking women is the best charisma a guy could ask for.

That’s a great story, and wishing you an excellent next chapter in your life. The great thing now is that you clearly have a sense of who you are and what you want out of a relationship, and that’s a great space to be in.

The fact that your friend isn’t interested in women in his own peer group (working class, look their age) and wants a trophy girlfriend is the key to his problem right there- he doesn’t like women. He wants a possession to show off to other men; it’s got nothing to do with actual companionship.

I think Cameron is terrible with dialogue, but the guy can certainly plot a story well, so (assuming Cameron laid out the structure) I’m pretty psyched.
