It’s not a popular thing to say over on The Root, but white people don’t have a monopoly on racism. They may wield it with the most efficiency in the USA, but that doesn’t stop others from trying their hand at it.

White supremacy is about systemic power. Racism is about hatred. White supremacy is a superset of racism, not a synonym.

I just had this conversation with a friend last night. Hillary wasn’t inspiring, but she was in every way competent. Which put her miles ahead of everyone else in the general.

My great-grandmother was quick witted and sharp as a tack before leukemia took her at 91 years old. Her son-in-law (my grandfather) frequently forgot who I was as he approached 80.
