Everyone I know that watches cartoons likes it. From kids to teenagers to young adults. It's a crowd pleaser.

I wonder what caused that comment to get moderated. I guess your not allowed to make fun of AvClubbers on these comment sections. I'm surprised they left all the others they're not usually this lenient on criticism or unpopular/opposing views. I promise i'll phrase my opinions better next time mods, thanks for not…
That's what the internet would have you believe. It's a hit among kids actually.
Yeah I probably should've just asked people what makes Korra a feminist show instead of gone on a rant about it from the beginning.
A reply to the same person using the same word in the comment i'm replying to. What do you want from me? To say that claiming Korra is a feminist show is hurting people? Is that the only time i'm allowed to complain about something? I already explained why I used that word, move one or use it as a reason to dismiss me.
I wrote problem quoting the comment addressed to me. I even put quotes to signify that I don't agree with the word used to describe my complaint. It doesn't take away anything from the show, I just don't agree that it's a feminist achievement. They can like it sure but they should stop acting like it's another blow to…
Well I like AvClub reviews in general. I don't agree with that particular praise and I'm stating it. You might encounter this a bit more throughout this website. It's almost as if people are allowed to express their opinion about a review/article.
Aren't you worried they'll become curious about sex, drugs and profanity too early? Might make them more rebellious and difficult in their teens. I'm sure you can prevent that but how?
How exactly does mentioning cartoons that aimed at boys make the industry sexist? They have shows that do the opposite and aim for both too. They've always done that. How is another show that does that worthy of praise for continuing that? Also how does Korra having more women than Adventure Time and ATLA mean it's…
Yeah as long it's PG-13 or lower and they can actually enjoy it I don't see why not. You could watch reality shows, documentaries, network dramas/sitcoms etc. I think it's better to watch something you can actually discuss with your kids.
I guess i'm not seeing as these comments are an accurate prediction of how I'd act at parties.
It's not there. Just because boy-oriented action cartoons are more successful does not equal sexism. Sexism implies a deliberate attempt to undermine women or take away an opportunity from them. But maybe i'm misinformed, where is this sexism? Everything feminist they praised Korra for I can find an instance of it…
No you weren't you trying to remind me that feminism is a good thing and it automatically improves everything it's attached to. I'm not even gonna bother defending myself as not an MRA. I know not supporting feminism to feminists means I think white men are oppressed and I hate women and all types of shit.
I'm not bashing the show I'm bashing bloggers using it as an outlet to plug their feminist agendas. You may not think that's a problem but I do.
Hey I enjoy the show. I'm just expressing my opinion on the constant reference to it being a feminist show on this website. That's what my "problem" is.
I just hadn't reloaded this tab yet my bad. This must be the new comment and I saw the old one after replying to it in Disqus.
Kip Hackman - "Just to be clear, you hate feminism and you're mad that people you hate are praising a show you like?"
Annnd here comes the "He doesn't support feminism therefore he hates women" brigade. Yeah I hate that they're forcing an agenda on a cartoon just because it's popular (or was popular) and has a female main character. Go on and tell me what that makes me.
That's not cool.
It's not a feminist cartoon in the first place because there's no sexism in children entertainment in the first place. There are many successful female oriented shows, not as many action female oriented shows but yeah sure lets blame Hollywood for that.
