    Yeah, I’ve never been into leather jackets but my girlfriend’s motorcycle jacket she wears three seasons out of four has lasted a long ass time with her having to fix just the non-leather parts. Then again I’ve had a surplus canvas jacket for even longer and that damn thing is as good as when I got it.

    Is that an issue with regular cars? My civic and its canvas seats just turned 22 and they are just fine. My fat ass has been wearing the driver’s seat for ten years and it still doesn’t really show it. The back seat has had plenty of dog puke on it but it’s also just fine.     I know you can’t change the system alone, but to me everyone who can afford a drink and behaves should be served the same. I know SF has lots of wealthier techies and such, but also loads of people doing jobs that don’t pay all that well when you consider the cost of living over there. They don’t deserve worse service…

    I’m a bit split on cassettes, I do have a pretty good Sansui tape deck, but I had had so little use for it that the last time I moved my stereo stuff I put it in the closet. There are some albums where that format suits it for one reason or another better than anything else.
