The Treaty of Ghent had been signed but not ratified so the war wasn't actually over yet, if the British take New Orleans they can claim to continue holding it as part of the treaty. Also, its not like Jackson himself instigated any part of the Battle of New Orleans, he was purely defending, all the blame for it

I bet the resident libertarian clue writer had an absolute fit when the O'Reilly clue was a triple stumper. Even a cursory attentiveness to books would have exposed you to the answer and yet I'm willing to forgive these contestants just because it was O'Reilly

I think she might have been afraid it was TOO obvious. Up until Gentleman's Agreement that entire category was just name the most famous movie with this actor in it from the 40s

So I don't know if you've been watching the Doctor Who spin-off Class but the latest episode had a pretty bold sex scene between two hunks. The BBC spares no expense with its twinks

I mean…

And once again Jesus has sacrificed himself for his people

4. His wife, considering the number of men he beat with his cane just for saying a bad word about her

On the one hand being a slave-owner wouldn't necessarily prevent someone from stopping the Civil War (Zachary Taylor was a slave-owner who threatened to personally hang anyone who threatened secession). On the other hand, Jackson was Jackson.

They left out the most confusing part, his insinuation that Jackson was mad that the country was at war with itself despite Jackson dying 16 years before the Civil War started.

The Last Kingdom is jumping straight to Netflix without appearing on BBC America again? Thats kind of disappointing actually

The thing that annoyed me about the incident here vs Pyramids or Mars or what 12 does in Into the Dalek is that he could have easily saved the kid; he just needed to grab a couple inches lower to get the kids hand instead of his screwdriver. In both of those other cases the person was either already screwed or not in

yeah, that Tenacious clue annoyed me since the last line clearly looked for the band connection

I have that Mortal Kombat as well, its always funny* playing a Mortal Kombat which doesn't have blood.

I paid money to see The Last Airbender in theaters

Suddenly DashCon isn't looking like the most poorly planned fan event of the decade

So, Clive Owen in Shoot 'Em up?

They're here in May… on the same night as a friends wedding. I am so, SO tempted to tell them I can't make the wedding afterall

I'm indifferent to how manuals are presented because I come from an age where a manual didn't tell you shit about playing a game and am still too stubborn to ever look at one. Unless it has some kind of lore or fluff in it a manual is just fancy garbage to me

This kinda stuff is probably the biggest reason I'll buy a games special edition. I don't care about season passes to some online system I'll never use or an in-game trinket, I want the posters and the oversized manuals and will even settle for sound tracks if they're thrown in.

Hell, Starcraft's original manual is probably close to 200 pages long considering its pretty much a book of backstory on all the factions
