Many of our country’s notable polls lost their first few shots at high office. For every Barack Obama going from nothing to president, you have an Abraham Lincoln, Richard Nixon, and even Donald Trump, all of whom lost big before they won later on after a second try or more.

I am with you. She is a populist. I think these pieces are going to look ill informed in hind sight. We are so desperate for strong, passionate women, though. 

Getting painfully close to winning and gaining international attention do not get much done. Al Gore, John Kerry, and Merrick Garland. I do not mean that as a sick burn, but the realpolitik of their situations is that their influence meets a wall, and they work from there with what they can. Beto just ain’t it. 

I wish I could say I am surprised, but a white conservative male writer calling a woman a girl isn't shocking. It's annoying, but not a surprise.

On the one hand, I want to believe in Ocasio-Cortez, as she is a much-needed breath of fresh air in Congress, but I worry that she is either a passing fad, or a harbinger of a Democratic Tea Party of sorts. 

It’s just another thing men need explained to them that women already know: the cost of being a woman is WAY HIGHER than men. Men can wear the same suit and just change ties (like that anchor in Australia who did it for a year and no one ever noticed!) and that’s it. Women have to have OUTFITS, hair, makeup, nails,…

So long as they’re cheap t-shirts. If they’re fancy, like fitted or god forbid with buttons on the collar, it’ll obviously prove she’s secretly rich. Fox will be checking closely for cotton/poly blends.

She should get “I am a member of Congress” tee shirts printed up.
