I’m thinking Ron Jeremy for Ken. Charismatic and cuddly.

Sorry, I care about Trump, a president who could literally cause the global economy to crater if he wakes up one day with a headache and decides he has a personal vendetta to settle with China.

Jewish people voted 70% for Hillary because many of them truly are terrified of Trump. I haven’t heard of many Jews who are “terrified” of Ellison. I have read that some have doubts about his effectiveness as head of the DNC if we want to win back the White House in 4 years, but “terrified” isn’t a term I’d link

Corey Booker, Duval Patrick, and Julian Castro.

As I wrote to another poster- Ellison is a talented politician who has done a good job for the people of Minnesota. I don’t think Ellison particularly hates anyone.

Ellison didn’t just “show up” at the march. He defended Farrakhan and Elijah Muhammed again and again. There’s a bit of a difference.

I don’t have any particular problem with Ellison- seems like a nice guy to me. I do think that making him head of the DNC would create a controversy that we don’t need, especially now. There are plenty of other qualified candidates, including candidates of color, who would raise far fewer questions than Ellison.

If Byrd had been made head of the DNC- rather than staying a buffoon in West Virginia- there would have been problems.

No, I voted for Obama. I’m simply explaining where the suspicion comes from.

Many white supremacists have never participated directly in violent acts against black people, but if they are mouthing the exact words that people used over the centuries to keep black people down, then it doesn’t really matter, does it?

I’ll try to explain this in very simple terms.

You are 100% correct. Championing the free exchange of ideas is exactly what has traditionally distinguished liberals from conservatives. How is it that we are now allowing them to take this mantle?

100% correct. Milo Yiannopoulous would never have become the conservative icon he is today if it hadn’t been for those trying to silence him on college campuses.

Yeah, when those of us on the left, who should be championing the free exchange of ideas more than anyone, start shunning dialogue with the other side, it’s a warning sign.

She was calling you a racist because you believe in the free exchange of ideas.

Those of us who believe that the free exchange of ideas aren’t upset in the least.

100% correct. People who ask how guys like Kushner and Mnuchin can work for white supremacists have it backwards. From their perspective, white supremacists are working for them.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mnuchin’s running rings around Trump’s entire cabinet. Aside from Bannon, he’s probably the only one there with half a brain.

Trump stated yesterday that he’s been having regular conversations with Obama, which I like.

They’re both countries where women haven’t reached their full potential.
