Heheh.... “make”.

In male-dominated industries, there’s a lot of pressure on women to behave in traditionally “masculine” ways. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had one of my female colleagues tell me how I should communicate differently and in a less feminized way in order to be taken seriously. She does this every time that I

FUUUUUUUUCK THAT. My favorite line from Tina Fey’s Bossy Pants was her telling the story of Jimmy Fallon being grossed out by Amy Poehlar and Amy turns to him and says: “I don’t fucking care if you like it!” My job is not to be liked. I’m pretty self taught in my field so some of my skill set is a little uneven, but

You could just as easily complain that the Obama presidency has become all about race issues instead of poverty/education/minimum wage/child care/health insurance, and everyone would smell that bullshit from a mile away. This election has touched on a lot of issues of sexism (issues that go far beyond “white women

I work on a purchase/billing service that is cross-platform and deals in billions of dollars of revenue each year. My particular area of expertise is UI/UX, which is usually considered too artsy and feminized for “real” programmers. As such, I’m the only person in an entire organization with my skillset and

From an anthropological standpoint it makes sense that the President of the Marshall Islands would not have as much trouble with misogyny. The RMI is a matrilineal society, and traditionally there has been a great deal of parity between the sexes in governing.

I really feel like all women deserve hazard pay.

don’t go down this road with this commenter. trust me.

I am speaking out of my ass here without knowing context at all, so feel free to shit on me, but I would be a little salty about my (make believe) kid’s school suddenly moving 16 blocks. That’s not a small amount.

I look at all these intelligent lady heads of state, and it just makes me sad because I can’t imagine that they would have gained any political traction here in the US, and the reason is my guess is they would be ripped on their appearance, either due to their weight or level of attractiveness.

“Women are irrational; they can’t be put in charge!”

I do think there is something real to women not valuing men who partake in traditionally feminine roles and pursuits.

I am currently in conflict with a coworker and I honestly thing it’s bc I’m doing better than him. He was getting complaints and he started taking a back seat, I stepped up and did great, now he’s telling me I’m not a team player and all this other bullshit. It is infuriating.

Yeah, no, we do not. If women “make” a man stupid, he was already stupid.

It’s the compound eyes, the antennae and the whole tearing the partner’s head off after sex and eating it bit that doesn’t sit quite right with me.

I saw this in the Guardian (its about skiing), and is there any woman who doesn’t have a story like this? You beat a boy/man at something and they just can’t handle it and pitch a fit.

Men fear other men, too.

Donald Trump: subtle with a capital B.

You can tell a lot about a guy by his reaction to the question, “why are men afraid of women?”
