Long story short - housing wards are a persistent instance, which means a constant server load, which means they can only go so high with how the game is currently designed. Apartments/FC Rooms aren’t persistent and only load in when a player goes into one, which is why they have a much higher cap on those.

From what I can tell, SE and the players of their MMOs have a vested interest in the “community” of an individual server. I can see the appeal. In my server, I know the people/free companies who own the houses around mine, and there are people who throw regular house parties and such. It does feel much more “real”…

The vast amount of items that need to be saved in each house. Each house had 100 items for small, 150 for medium and 200 for large. Now each house has double that. That’s not including how each home can have 4 unique outside set ups and inside set ups.

Don’t get me wrong, if somebody can play an amazing Widow, Hanzo, or Ana I’m happy to have them.
