The only way anyone can get anything done with their healthcare apparently is make a private and personal thing incredibly public.

I do think they receive subsidies from the Polish government and EU specifically for The Witcher. So though it likely cost that much to make - it possibly cost less in the long term because they are getting tax breaks for the studio.
