I am a bit embarrassed to say they got me with this trick… about three times. Each time the price went back up, I paid the normal rate for a few months until I got fed up enough to call and cancelled, fell for the temp deal, forgot…. and again. And again. Now finally cable free ;)

Huh? There never was a decision "the baby or me". It was "I die, or we probably both die". That's C-section for you. They couldn't know beforehand that they would have to make that decision, and without the doctor or tools, around.
