I mean to be fair I wouldn't want my work supporting someone like PETA either.
100% Ken, who was not only good and has a general milquetoast thing about his personality that’s perfect for the show, but his long history with it (and his apparent eagerness to want the job) feels like one of those things meant to be.
The hell are you talking about? I can only assume you didn’t actually watch any of these hosts. Ken was very much one of the best, Levar was among the worst.
I think I’d be able to swallow his purchase a little easier if he didn’t spend his aggressively online Twitter space doing things like mocking and demeaning people for using Patreon to supplement their incomes.
Oh shit.
I’ll never understand streamers insisting on living in LA when there’s no reason for them to live in LA. They work from home and if they become actual famous productions are spread out all over the place anyway.
I wouldn't exactly call spending a few million on a house in a very nice area is helping others with your money.
On the ranch? No. In the heart of downtown LA? Very much so. Context does, in fact, matter.
1) It’s “lo and behold”
I know quite a few people who don’t care for botw.
I don’t deny the quality of the game, but I did not enjoy it at all either. My issues come from issues with weapon degradation and almost directionless gameplay which sort of creates this ‘make your own fun’ world.
I have not enjoyed the shift to ape the game.
You stare at him, and he just stares right back. And that’s when the attack comes. Not from the front, but from the side, from the other two bots you didn’t even know were there. Because 343 bots are a pack hunter, you see, he uses coordinated attack patterns and he is out in force today. And he slashes at you with…
I’m starting to think that gamers just don’t deserve games at this point.
This is the dumbest discourse. The concept of villains in fiction shouldn’t be “cancelled.” Just because someone voices a villainous character, it doesn’t mean they condone their villainous actions.
I agree. If this was Hitler’s personal Mercedes or something, I would see the backlash. Or if it was dressed up in Nazi livery.
“ others have argued that the content around emotional manipulation should be made optional altogether”
Jesus, can we just stop with the sanitizing and safe spacing of everything, especially art? “oooh I’m so triggered it would be nice if Friday the 13th didn’t have murders and show breasts”, “oh no this song called…
See also “we couldn’t find the flashing lights warning for Cyberpunk, even though VIDEO GAMES ARE MADE OF LIGHTS THAT FLASH,” or that one game that included a slider to hide spiders because of people vocally complaining about seeing spiders. Folks are babies.
So, the content warning accurately reflects the game's content, but people made bad assumptions about that warning and are now mad at the dev and want the dev change the game itself?
Back in uni, in me Film & TV unit days, we had this awesome deadpan lecturer, a slightly embittered, chain-smoking lesbian who’d been a veteran of the TV production trenches.
