That was a bit overblown. I have had no issues with not having enough gold, have over 80 hours played so far. There are plenty of reasonably obtainable resources that can be sold. Well, that was before they stopped any trading.

I honestly don’t see too many new fans jumping into Advance Wars as it is, and those mobile game like graphics we have seen so far won’t be bringing anyone in. I may be wrong, maybe the Fire Emblem fanbase will pick it up. But it won’t be because of the graphics.

I’m really not sure why they felt the need to overhaul the visuals in the first place. No one plays Advance Wars for the visuals. I think a lot of people would have been happy with a port with some QoL improvements but they probably want to charge more than that would have commanded.
