@froggy: I have always put my phones down when i wanted them to get better reception.. or hold them where I know i am not covering the antenna.. so maybe it was just a natural reaction... I know place my phone down, or hold it a certain way to get better reception.. so it's a natural reaction for me to do this, so

@Zonky: I agree, i do the same thing. when i want to something quickly with a phone I set it down to get the best reception... almost any phone i have owned.

I have all the performance I need.. I can't run everything at max setting, but i can come DAMNED close.. and yet I still want more... Must hold back, must not buy anything.

My Samsung Flip a920 came with specifi instruction on how NOT to hole the phone and yes i lost a few bars if i held it a certain way.. this is normal with many phones i have owned.

OMG I just thought of something.. What if the WiFi fail at the conference was do to the antenna issue!?

One day I heard a tapping noise outside my Spectra. I stopped and looked under the car and saw a strap hanging.. turned out it was a strap to my gas tank and it was rusted. (Damned RI winters.)
