I’ll offer something I find visually helpful, aside from using the kill switch:

Paid for it immediately to support the developer. I use it to auto rename my crappy-sorted TV and movie files and tag them, then move them. I can’t tell you how many keystrokes it has saved me, but there’s no way I’ll ever go back to doing it manually.

Macrodroid is my favorite on Android. Love that it doesn't come with a high learning curve.
