He doesn't have a source, because the statement is 100% false. Kotaku covered those death threats in a fair amount of detail at the time, since sending death threats over tweaking game balance is equally as absurd.
Apparently, the gaming community has an extra dose of crazy. Lucky us.
I dunno, man. From the start Force Unleashed seemed stupid to me. Everything from the the plot to the weird way the protagonist insisted on holding his lightsaber in every single promo image to the promoted absurdity of pulling a Star Destroyer out of orbit, it seemed to be the "we're trying really, really hard to be…
Given that this is Kotaku, I feel it's appropriate to mention that my only understanding of the phrase comes from my villagers saying it when I play Japan in Age of Empires III.
He's referring to micro-managing individual units effectively, an essential skill in StarCraft. It's micro.
I can see their invitations to appear on the show now:
Gotta come up with a catchy title for it, though. Lao Tzu: Total War doesn't quite do it.
That doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be on your best behavior all the time and never do anything controversial. It's more about knowing your audience. If you limit the number of people who can see your profile or posts, and you know that a particular list of people will appreciate your controversial artwork,…
I agree with you there. I feel like it should have been an option you toggle off and on rather than a trait. Although, I played it on PC, so I just installed a mod that gave it to me for free and allowed me to turn it off when I wanted to, so I wasn't nearly as inconvenienced by it as, say, a console player would be.
Yes. This. Actually, in a perfect world, Bethesda would make the world (because they're amazing at world building), and Obsidian would write the story and characters.
Yes, but A.) the Wild Wasteland perk brought a fair amount of that back and B.) the entirety of Old World Blues.
Excepting FFX, I'd say. It was pretty straight forward. Some twists, certainly, but the world was plausible and comprehensible, the motives and personalities of the characters were believable, and the plot made sense by the end of it all.
For the life of me, I can't find any of the Battlestars. Anyone wanna help me out?
This reminds me of Obsidian's loss of bonus on Fallout: New Vegas by a single percentage point because of a buggy launch. I thought it was a damn shame at the time, because of course by the time the end of the New Vegas update/DLC cycle it was so, so much better than when it launched. Not that it was all that weak to…
Better DEAD than RED! Something your clone seems to have taken to heart...
Considering that they were rival styles designed to counteract each other? Yes. Yes indeed. Our maestro showed us a few German techniques, and they were very similar. Maybe even a little more brutal. Because, well, Germans.
So, Society for Creative Anachronism heavy combat, but with a greater chance for horrible, life-threatening injuries. Excellent!
Italian Longsword, anyone?
They look less like Sunday morning cartoons now! Hurray!
Considering that dual cores are over a decade old at this point, I'd be surprised if there were all that many people still rocking a single core. Most computers simply don't last that long.
