See, that's kind of funny. At least you hadn't actually done anything meaningful yet.

It's like that guy who wins on the final turn of Twilight Imperium despite having lost all of his planets somehow...

...never mind that that was me last time. <.< But the point is, I learned it from That Guy, and That Guy is also the one who can somehow figure out all the best properties to buy in Monopoly to ensure

I'm in my final term at the University of Oregon, and one of the biggest Duck fans I ever met was actually a Peruvian. I met him in a UK hostel, and when I told him where I went to school, he got really excited. He showed me pictures of his room, and his school spirit put my school spirit to shame. So much green and

Holy crap. Someone on Kotaku exercised restraint in their comments? Kudos to you, sir or madam!

I dunno. It seems like a gross oversight to me.

You could argue that they could fly above bow range, although they'd still have to come back into range at Mount Doom itself.

The Witch-King has an enchanted mace that's able to take down an otherwise unbreakable gate with a single swing, not to mention the other abilities the Nazgul have. Even the Lord of the Eagles wouldn't survive him. It's basically certain defeat, since giant eagles would definitely be seen by ol' Fiery Eye.

Walking into

Also, poisoned arrows. Which almost ruined his day once before.

No, you got it as far as the LotR side of things go. The armies of Mordor (and allied kingdoms) have hundreds of thousands of soldiers that can put a ton of arrows into the sky, not to mention ballista bolts.

Plus, you know, vengeful spirits wearing 9 of the Rings of Power that fly mini-dragons around could be bad

...but it really is. Flying through hostile territory with an all-seeing eye looking for you and these Nazgul things with flying dragon-like mounts that CAN TEAR YOU TO SHREDS is NOT a good idea. I mean, seriously. I feel like this is kind of common sense.

No, but seriously. They get involved in LotR AFTER the giant flaming eye that could call all the armies of Mordor and a few other kingdoms besides down on them goes out, and AFTER the the Nazgul - and the absolutely terrifyingly powerful Witch-King - are out of the way and can't just fly up and tear them to ribbons.

To

Sure, but we're still talking playable frame rates on less-than-demanding modern games like Bioshock: Infinite only if you turn the graphics down to medium and run it at a subpar resolution (source: AnandTech and other online revies). Integrated graphics aren't really intended for gaming.

Not only that, but the Iris

Kind of him to illustrate the point.

Absolutely terrible. These aren't built for gaming (see: no GPU), whereas Steam machines are. It would be like comparing a pickup truck to a sports car... they do very different things.

...that kind of sounds like someone has access to some of your banking info. Either that or it's a delayed charge, which has happened to me. I got billed for something a month after I bought it, once.

As others have said, you'll need to upgrade your GPU for sure. On the upside, buying a better one should be pretty cheap, as that's a fairly antiquated card you have there.

After that, you won't be able to run it on highest settings by any means, but you could run it on medium-low or medium comfortably, and it's still

I agree with you there. But I sort of chalked it up as the nature of the medium.

I... disagree. Well, okay, let me amend that: as part of the EU, it's actually pretty terrible. More or less completely recycling the story from the original trilogy and just moving some characters around does not make for a good tie-in.

But if you're reading it in isolation from anything but the original trilogy?

I'm sure they do, but as a corporation, their goal is to maximize profit. Pulling the comics section of the franchise under the umbrella of one of their subsidiaries is a sure way to do it, since they'll be profiting much more directly from it.
