I’ve spent plenty of time in Bend, and with places Tetherow and Broken Top, I think it is an accurate characterization. Pronghorn is also just to the north. As you mentioned, Sunriver and Mt. Bachelor are adjacent. Having a Lowes doesn’t mean Bend can’t also be an incredibly popular all-season tourism destination.
