As a Parks & Rec fan, I thought the message repeated over and over again was that Ron was a good, compassionate person with an honorable personal code of ethics, but his libertarianism, when applied to actual government, would be... Not great.

On the one hand - rushing headlong into a dystopian hellscape where all economic activity is controlled by one company, a company which exerts total control over all world governments and every aspect of our lives.

This is, natch, the first I’ve heard of either of these things.

The AV Club

The children also loved Pewdiepie and “Fred”. They just like older people debasing themselves.

Not really. Edgar Wright left Antman during pre-production, and the entire production schedule was delayed as they searched for a new director. They got the director of Bring It On. Which has its own particular pleasures, but neither superaction or strong direction are one of them. The best parts of Antman were

(shrug) I don’t see any particular reason to give the benefit of the doubt to a completely unknown showrunner whose only identifiable characteristic at this point is that he/she will be hired by the same FremantleMedia execs who just made the extremely stupid decision to part ways with Fuller and Green.

I mean, it’s not like I’ll stop watching. I still hope it’ll be good. It would be really sad to lose one of the best new shows over something like this.

Yuuuup, that was always good for some drama and character building. Plus seeing a grade school girl knock out Wolverine, the Punisher, etc. never got old.

My parents were classic Bond villains. Way too much exposition and their fiendish deathtraps and punishments always had an obvious flaw to be exploited.

This is great news. Can’t wait to check it out. For anyone wondering, the new Runaways comic series is really good so far as well. Great art and a solid feel for the characters. Plus, you don’t have to have read anything past Vaughn’s run, which is probably where you should stop anyway.

Another great performer, struck down in their prime.

Fuck tipping. It’s an archaic form of exploitation that exists solely to justify under-paying workers. In France, to take but one European example, the notion of tipping is unheard of. Servers are paid well. There’s no bullshit math to do. There’s no threat, of the type described above.

Don’t mind if I do. Might take the time to get out my knife and whittle myself a Dawes meme.

Terrible take
