@itsjareds: Agreed. I've used vista and hated it, but 7 strangely is a good experience. #windows7

@hockeybrad: It's pretty simple. Back up your information (save your thunderbird, firefox profiles, etc) and format your drive.

So far, being one of those die-hard XP fanatics, I'm really loving 7. #windows7

Here's my problem. I created several Wordpress templates, which now have my name and my URL on them. So my name, if you google me, points to my URL. Problem is, that URL got yanked out from under me when my host auctioned it off (was waiting for it to expire so I could move it... lose/lose on that one). Anyway, long

@Silver_Back: I got an ereader from Astak (www.theezreader.com) and its worked great so far! It reads tons of formats :D #openthread

@Buster Friendly: It was within the last few weeks, and it was a website you went to, not a program. I'll check that out though. #openthread

@chucklebuck: Yes, that is grandfathered, for sure.

@chucklebuck: No, she'll just have to go on an individual plan.

I've looked and I cannot find it - a couple weeks ago there was a post or a comment or something about a site you could go to and choose which programs to download and it would provide you with a nice all in one installer. They touted it as a really awesome way to reinstall programs after a reformat. I cannot for the

There was something like this posted a while back - a site where you could choose to update various softwares and download a dedicated all-in-one installer. I've searched and searched google and RSS and can't find it! Help? #updates

Can't DO anything because Wave keeps crashing. I haven't figured out what the usefulness of this is anyway - its like IM + Email with no one to talk to. #googlewave

My online class has access to the Microsoft Academic Software thing - they've got full copies of 7 available for download on there. I plan on upgrading to 7 once I get my new harddrive so I can backup my stuff! #windows7

I can't invite people to Wave OR Voice, and I have accounts on both. I feel left out of the fun :(

Oh yeah, and Re: my previous comment about this, you can also drag out the desktop toolbar as an additional toolbar on your desktop pretty much.. anywhere.

I do this with my regular start bar. First, put all the app icons on your desktop - then make the desktop toolbar visible on your taskbar. Then hide the desktop icons. viola :D

I'm looking to buy an external hard drive - Newegg has one today but it looks like the reviews say its pretty slow.

I got my invite and got on the wave, but so far its pretty useless. I don't have anyone to talk to because I can't invite my friends or coworkers, and my inbox is getting bombarded with public waves I've just *looked* at but not even contributed to.

I had great success with some brasso - make sure whatever you use says its safe for stainless steel - and since brasso is ammonia based make sure you have the windows open!

The reason I don't use songbird is because they've not perfected the podcast experience yet. I like itunes podcast management, but loathe the proprietary stuff.
