My freshman year I did well. I brought my clothes (though too many), my computer, bed stuff, and my PSone and we bought a microwave and a small TV with built in VCR. I coordinated with my roomie beforehand and she brought the minifridge.

Woot. I really enjoyed that veggie wash they used to sell but I haven't seen it in regular stores in a while (that or I'm just not looking). Vinegar is seriously useful for all sorts of stuff - window cleaning to mouthwash. Seriously.

I'm using google voice as my "business" number so that I don't have to give out my mobile on my advertisements. Gives me a bigger sense of security. I can still put my mobile on business cards, but I can control who receives those.

ONe thing I have gotten many comments on recently , because I am left handed, is that my handwriting is really stellar. I just can't understand how you rightys write all your letters backwards! Its WEIRD!

@scojac: I have pen death grip too! And I'm left handed. I have excellent penmanship - get compliments on it all the time.
