@Coyote: Office XP ftw. Seriously. If I didn't have to deal with excel documents all day from people using Win 98, I'd use Open Office.

@johnhorneguitar: Once you buy the hardware, setting up MythTV is really easy. It was actually my first jaunt into Linux. My problem was that I had to use a set top box to get my channels and when I attempted it my hardware + the set top box would not communicate.

@Kyle Rohan: The only asterisk I would add to your "no set top box required" is that some people MUST HAVE a set top box to get the channels they're trying to record, and unfortunately at that point it just becomes cheaper to get the $5 a month DVR from your cable company.

@bzoomer16: It used to be free as well until zap2it decided to stop offering it and they had to come up with a workaround.

@umpitygrumpity: My boyfriend INSISTS that plants excrete more C02 than they inhale, so its actually the trees we're planting that are killing the earth. Apparently.

@TheTick: You can always make sun tea!

@colorebel: You can't, Whole Foods locks up their dumpsters.

The easiest things you can keep around to make any dish better - onion, carrot, celery. In soups especially! You can remove the chunks later, but they will add invaluable NATURAL flavor - and they're a must for good soup stock.

This is.. random and weird.

Can't you already do that by burning it onto a CD and then ripping it off? Yes?

@Eyebrows McGee: ooooh.. I didn't think of that. No way in hell I'd donate to their cause except wait..

Its so amazing they LOOK so much alike (facial features) except for their skin color.

Stupid people. KEEP YOUR FUCKING PETS INDOORS! Gah.

But don't you get like $10,000 per egg?

This, unfortunately, describes my first experience with sex and then the resulting 6 month... ordeal with that man.

What's wrong with his belly button O_o

@Phoshi: Dude. It's not like I'm using 98 (like 50% of my officemates) Even THAT makes me cringe. XP is still supported. Vista doesn't offer me anything new, why spend the money to upgrade? Especially now, with Win 7 around the corner.

@TendoMentis: XP works and I know how to use it.

How about the obvious ones -
