I'm thinking some Talking Heads too.
I'm thinking some Talking Heads too.
I'm sure he had "Django Tango" all worked out too. Found some really obvious 70s R&B sample and wrote out the plot of the movie in rap form. He probably started thinking of the really expensive video with some dance that old white people can do. It would have been his greatest work to date.
Yeah especially compared to how fit he was in UCB TV series and how incredibly skinny he was in Martin & Orloff. He looks better in this episode than he did in Reno 911. I don't know why I know so much about Ian Roberts body.
That is one of my dad's favorite movies. That and the The Family Man with Nicolas Cage. He has a major schmaltzy streak. He proselytizes those two movies. I don't know what happened. We used to watch Apocalypse Now and Monty Python together.
That website design is baffling. Cool idea though.
Those types of reviews really bring you back down. You might be thinking that your favorite band is something special and then somebody reminds you that to a lot of people it's just noise. Sometimes when you spend a lot of time with like minded friends or on sites like this one, you lose perspective. I was going to…
Christian Bale is Gob from Arrested Development. He even played a magician that one time.
I watched Life of Pi with the folks. I came to the conclusion the human version of the story must be the true one. Meerkats are native to the Kalahari Desert in the southern part of Africa and probably would not be found in an island in the Pacific. Even if they were shipwrecked and bred to great numbers, the…
This was great. Another good one not in this super cut: Some one throwing an egg at the camera lens in Los Olvidados. Also the kid at the end of 400 Blows.
If I became a billionaire the first order of business, would be to offer Radiohead to donate one million dollars to the charity of their choice if they they play a concert where they announce they are about to play "Creep" and then launch into the TLC song. Then they go on with the rest of the concert like normal.
One of my all-time favorite CDR moments is during a Would You Rather? segment where the question is "Would you rather eat a John Goodman-sized turkey or a turkey-sized John Goodman?" and Michael Cera asks if he can make a turkey-sized John Goodman star in a sitcom called Turkey Dad.
Mrs. Show with Roberta and Davida
Yeah Zach Galifianakis does not seem to like these movies or the attention it brings him. Whenever he is on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast he seems to loathe talking about them which Scott Aukerman picks on him for. Probably still beats being poor and doing bit parts in things like Out Cold and Bubble Boy.
The fact that he grew up with it makes me pretty lenient toward it compared to a Tom Cruise or John Travolta who seemed to have weirdo careerist motives behind their beliefs. Also he hasn't (as far as I know) been that confrontational about it nor has he railed against psychiatry. Beck is just from one of those Hippie…
Is Beck really funkier than famous Scientologist Isaac Hayes? Or Doug E. Fresh? Or Chick Corea? Or Jenna Elfman?
I call Count of Trans…ylvania….
The entire exchange between Homer and Jimbo is great as is him spray painting "Carpe Diem" on the wall.
The Rapmaster 2000 is my least favorite Simpsons joke. It was dated when it came out and it shows a major misunderstanding of rap (it's just talking over a beat). Also the stupid dance moves the kids do behind the car. It hurts more because this might be my favorite Simpsons episode.
Yeah there is no "When You Sleep" or "Sometimes" on here. Most of the songs on here are similar to the somewhat formless songs they have done like "Soon" and "Lose My Breath." I'm not sure if this is a knock against it though. I didn't like "Soon" the first few times I heard it because there doesn't seem to be much…
Not feeling it though I did buy the 320kbps version for some reason. Would it sound significantly better at a higher bit rate? I'm not much of an audiophile so I figured I wouldn't know the difference.
