I think this is very egregious. BUT I don’t think he should resign. That isn’t how this works, and that isn’t what anyone in the GOP would do. I get that Dems need to be better than this, but this is also a real-world with real-world-impacts fight, and I am not interested in losing ONE. SINGLE. SOLDIER.

I will pay to see this. It looks wonderful, and Saorsie (spelling? I’m not looking it up or scrolling to see the correct spelling, sorry), is a delight. Plus I love Laurie Metcalf.

Interestingly, he just posted a lengthy apology and acknowledgement. In it (which is unsurprisingly very well written) he admits to his behavior at ABC and claims to have recognized it was gross, got himself to a counselor, and says he is a changed man, and has been for many years. He says that you won’t find

I love this song so very much.

This. is. awful.

Interestingly, re: the NYT story that was spiked, Damon says he did call the reporter, Sharon Waxman, to discuss an aspect of the story, at Harvey’s urging. He talks about the brief conversation, etc. Waxman supports his story (that he did not know the investigational aspects of her story).

I agree - I was so tense and grossed out. Oh god the constant begging, nonstop talking, then accusations, I mean, he is a master. And a total, complete asshole. Wow - I have to be honest, I’m really a little surprised at how upset that audio made me. Fucker.

Yeah, I think from a communications perspective (that is my profession) he threads the needle really really well here. I also think that he was one of the few who had the balls to do it in an interview style vs. just a statement. However, I do wonder how much people like him, Winslet, etc. suspected about Harvey. They

Clooney responded in an article:

I am a communications executive. This is one of the WORST public apologies I have ever seen - while he appears to own it, ultimately deflects blame (grew up in a different time), then the clunkiest of all pivots to the NRA. Just. the. worst.

Nah, he was too busy staring at Nancy’s boobs.

I agree. But she is a master at keeping her people in line, and getting them to vote how she wants them to. At least lately, and if memory serves, as Speaker she was able to wrangle them well too.

I watched (or semi-watched) this. I wasn’t going to until the end of Stevie’s opening where he talked about climate change. That was interesting messaging for a “feel good, let’s all chip in” show. Then the rest seemed to address climate change as well as touch upon - rather gently but still - Charlottesville, the

Also, isn’t there an actor out there who is a). closer to Cheney’s age (or at least closer to say, 60) and b). looks a TAD BIT more like Cheney than Bale does?

This is what I think too. I think it is just an effort to be important and to try to be relevant. I do not think she is minding or caring for her father. That line of thought gives her too much credit - she doesn’t give a shit about the disaster her father is and is inflicting upon the rest of us. She JUST wants to

Oh! I missed that altogether! As you said, either way makes me happy.

Look at Fonda’s boots! I love them! (and I really love this picture that they all hang out together. I bet they are reading 50 Shades . . .)

Something similar happened to me to, at a bar. Sitting on the bar stool with my back to the bar, watching the band. Crowded. Boyfriend sitting Right Next To Me. Guy walks by, slides his hand up my thigh (I was wearing a mini skirt). Kept walking. I didn’t move. Boyfriend takes a beat and says “did he do what I think

except that A History of Violence was good, and had Viggo, who is always interesting.
