It might be what his manager told him to justify a large commission and he believed it? Or maybe in the original movie script he was more of a point of view character who the audience is supposed to relate to? Although Flash kind of had that role more, as the character a little in over his head as I remember it.

Biden’s base is everyone who wants an organized science-based response to the coronavirus and coming vaccine and it’s distribution, people who want pre-existing medical conditions to not be a reason to be denied health insurance, who want abortion to be legal, who want companies not to be allowed to deny you service

I am excited to vote. Excited as hell to vote Trump out of office, and excited as hell to help the Democrats win back the presidency and Senate. Sure Biden is no Obama (of course) but the policies he’s proposing would make him our most progressive president so far and four more years of Republican rule with destroy

From the topics listed, Trump is currently beating Biden on how people feel about the economy, so hopefully Biden can reframe for people who don’t get it: Trump’s incompetent response to the virus is what has collapsed the economy. Trump will argue he can bring it back better than Biden (his whole “I built the

Did yo work on the show? Is it true the first two seasons were shot at once?

Those on the hipster side should know them as they are definitely loved in the indie music press (and beyond) and certainly not just on the AV Club. They’ve been on SNL, are huge in the UK, and do okay in the USA for a rock band in a time when rock bands are a hard sell for many (had an album in the top ten of the

Maybe because Homelander has scared Ashley so much she’s afraid to do anything?  Or more likely, like you point out, sloppy writing.

“Butcher is an asshole, but he inspires deep loyalty,”

But I’m not sure why. He’s became a complete asshole this season. I guess this this the episode where he starts coming back to more wise-ass than asshole, but he’s become my least favorite character to watch on the show. At this point I’d rather he die and MM take

I have my Shazam set to automatically add songs to my Spotify account (under a My Shazam Tracks playlist.) Hope that option doesn’t go away with Shazam being more ingrained with iOS, as I could see them pushing users towards Apple Music (as they already do a bit.)

Here’s a little bit from a Washington Post article about the book and Alexis Coe that makes me want to read her book...
Her goal with the book is not to “cancel” Washington, she said, but to provide readers — especially first-time presidential biography readers — with the complete truth, so they can feel confident

If you think that view is representative of anywhere close to a majority of Democrats than you’ve been terribly misled by conservative media.

Seems an apt time to post this oldie...

Thanks for the context. Helpful!

I liked the episode, especially getting to know more about MM, but the characters sure make some odd choices. Homelander almost kills Annie due to her alleged relationship with Hughie and she then follows this up by... immediately meeting up with Hughie in public and going on a long road trip with him.

I liked him a lot more last season as he seemed to care about the other guys in the gang as well as his mission to take down the corrupt corporate heroes, but maybe I was just taken in by Urban’s charismatic performance. This season I’m with you that the character is really unappealing. It reminds me of how I stopped

There have been lots of Red Skull toys, no? At least in the comics he’s a Nazi and white-supremacist. I think it’s okay if geared for adults.

Mine did that too! It also did not show any subtitles in scenes where they were needed (I had to change the setting to the one where it describes the action). My Amazon Fire is glitchy!

The cover I think you were referring to (good catch!)...

People who want to learn more about the evil shit the president has done? I’m in no rush to watch but if it convinces even one more person to vote for Biden in November, I want Cohen out there talking about Trump.

“The artist has become, at 68, a generous and humane elder statesman of rock.” That statement doesn’t say he has always been a humane elder statesman of rock. But that at age 68 he is now that.
