It really feels like he was playing it like he wanted to tell her he loved her.  Maybe they changed their mind at some point?  (Like when Rey can’t accept Luke’s lightsaber but then does two minutes later.)

To me it felt like the set up for another Disney+ series. I didn’t go to a creepy place, more a veteran hero helping out a new one. Now if he had said, “Hello, what have we here?” that’d be different.

I’m excited for the show. Here’s a nice piece Gary Kroeger wrote about his time working with an up and coming legend...

Ruffalo won out with his becoming CGI-swole when super-powered. He gets to star in Marvel movies and eat french fries!

Patrick Stewart is so damn charming.  Great clip.

My niece liked it a lot. Seems a fun, if not groundbreaking, kid’s movie.

It felt a little emotionally distant to me too compared to some other episodes, but the plot kept me on my toes enough that I don’t mind too much (maybe it’s because we spent so much time with Adrian and Triue and they’re chillier than the other characters?) My only other quibble is I would’ve liked Jon to have a

If you want to help sure Uygur doesn’t win, support Christy Smith. She’s a great Democratic candidate running for Katie Hill’s seat. Endorsed by Katie Hill, Pelosi and others. Check her out here...

And I think they still get newer movies before they go to streaming? Not sure what the time window is, but that was the advantage I thought.

Great casting! This news makes me feel the opposite of this...

Ah!  Good to know. Now I’m bummed I missed it.

Yeah, I think David Byrne doing a tour of his current Broadway show seems more likely, and that doesn’t seem that likely.

He opposes gay marriage, she supports it. He opposes a women’s right to end her pregnancy, she supports it. He started and supported a war in Iraq that killed hundreds of thousands, she opposed it. He supported torture, she opposed it. I have no idea why they’re hanging out, but they’re not the same.

Great list. Thanks!

Kevin Spacey, too, I think.

How do people feel about listening to the Jackson Five? Michael was a kid when those albums were made, and wasn’t abusing anyone (he may have been a victim of abuse from his dad?) I feel okay listening to “ABC” and “I Want You Back” but less comfortable about listening to his adult music. Thoughts?

If you were in a band, what would you call it? (If you are actually in a band, what would you call it if you could rename it?)

Haha. It is a great line.

I’d much prefer AV Club point me to great art I may have missed, rather than shit all over other people’s work (even if they think it’s terrible.) This feature reminds me of the mean-spritied Hatesong feature from years ago. Leaves a bad taste. (But I still love your work in general, Jesse and the rest!)

Do hope Laurie and Manhattan get a moment if he comes back next episode.
