How is someone singing a song as he says goodbye to his colleagues of twenty years a cursed scene? Weird take.

She used her words to call Farrakhan the greatest of all time. So if you focus on her words, they’re pretty awful. She can say she supports the amazing work the Nation of Islam does in the African-American community AND that she finds Farrakhan’s words about Jewish and LGBTQ pepole to be offensive and wrong. It’s not…
“I think she could be clearer about denouncing the potential his homophobia, anti-Semitism, etc., hold for causing harm”
You seem to have a very limited understanding of Islam.
You seem to have a very limited definition of Zionism.
But one of the leaders of the march called that MAN the greatest of all time. Hard for it not to become an issue when they don’t simply say, “While he’s done a lot of good for the African-American community, I find his views on Jewish and LGBTQ people offensive and wrong.” It’s really not that hard. Not that the right…
Sadly, those over 45 vote at a much higher rate than those who are younger.
This is vile. If the Sinclair has an affiliate in your area, call them and tell them you will not watch the local news (or other programming) until they let local news be independent.
When some of us (older folk) first got introduced to the character he was riding on the back of a space dinosaur! That’s pretty bad ass.
Comic book writer Scott Snyder’s response was my favorite so far...
Maher is really trying to keep up with Ricky Gervais in the “Comedian I used to like who became completely insufferable.” race. But at least Gervais gave us “The Office” and “Extras” before it happened.

No idea. I think she’s been maneuvering to keep ANYONE from opposing her. But hopefully when she steps aside she will support another very well qualified woman.
A gay male adult having a special mentor relationship with a young boy is not “gross”. It would have been wonderful if Rowling had made Dumbledore openly gay in the text, so people’s prejudices about this could have been challenged.
Thanks, I’ll give them a shot!
Thanks for the well written review. I’m excited to read it.
Maybe, but I do get the idea of trying to make the Awards more relevant to the majority of movie-goers.
The books are... um... uneven. Hit and miss to begin with and then much less successful as as they go on (although maybe they get better? I gave up at some point.) Superheroes in a more adult and real world setting was refreshing when they came out as they were around the time of “Watchmen”, but now that’s been done a…
