Yeah, that threw me a bit too, as that description of the series isn’t accurate. As I remember it, books had strong female characters, but (SPOILERS) many in love with the very male protagonist.

I think if Han had been killed off, and thus Ford had been more excited about the script, he may not have phoned in his performance like he did. Which would have helped a lot.

That sounds terrible.  I actually wouldn’t mind if now that Moonves is gone, CBS pulls back on all the violent programming.

Good article, and good picks (everyone will have their favorites.)  Curious if the new Music Modernization bill making its way through Congress will make things easier for the band?  My guess is it might actually make things harder but would love a more expert opinion.

IPAs are the worst. Can’t wait for the trend to end.

They used their majority to pass the Affordable Care Act which saved thousands of lives and made life better for millions more. If that’s getting nothing done to you, well, we disagree. Clearly they could have done more but their majority was never a strong one and the opposition was focused on their failure.

Actually Nate Silvers’ FiveThirtyEight said Trump had a 1 in 3 chance of winning (and got a lot of crap for saying that before the election.) Unfortunately, a 1 in 3 chance are decent odds and he won.
