Thanks! Great minds!

“Promising people free things that you can’t actually deliver on is a great way to get elected.”

Bobcat Goldthwait is doing his part!

Their agenda is to take down those who disagree with the politically.

They are defensible. He attempted shock humor that was in vogue at the time (South Park, Family Guy, Howard Stern, even some of Sarah Silverman’s act) and was TERRIBLE at it. So yes, he made bad, DEEPLY offensive jokes. But he clearly did not believe the statements or advocate for rape or pedophilia. Anyone who

Millar’s “Starlight” with Goran Parlov doing the art is pretty wonderful (from 2014.)

That looks super fun. If Patrick Warburton got too old to do it, Zachary Levi seems like an awesome choice.

I think legally he can call himself Captain Marvel. They just can’t call the movie or the toys that. But... given the Marvel movie coming out... that might actually be tricky.

Is this satire?

Counterpoint: Star Trek the Next Generation was pretty great (well, starting somewhere in Season 3), and with no reboots, we’d never get to see it.

True, but I always have this image in my head when I think of it...

In the homophobic 1980s, the expression you heard was “right is wrong”. Meaning straight guys were only supposed to wear them on their left ears. How did that become a thing?

How much is Faith (Breeda Wool) on the show? She was my favorite part and could get me to watch again.

Oh I agree. And I kind of wish he’d do an extra apology for that and for the attack on poor Louie Anderson.

I guess it’s because someone like Roseanne tweeted her heartfelt racism, and these are clearly meant to be offensive just to be shocking. They’re clearly not how he really feels. So it seems more complicated to most.

I’m not on it either, but during some live events (say the Oscars or Super Bowl) it seems like it would be fun to follow great comedians and read the jokes. I’m okay without it as the best ones show up elsewhere, but I see the appeal.

The slur is gross but was considered not really a big deal to use in mainstream comedy/conversation by many until fairly recently. Conan O’Brien used to use it in monologues and over time realized it was offensive and apologized (just in 2012.) Thankfully the culture is learning and adjusting.

A reminder of life before Roe v. Wade for American women...
