:) Thanks. And I know what you mean about watching with subtitles—I love that Eleven's mouth works faster than his brain, but it's difficult to pick up on some of the lines the first time through because of that. (And I almost included the line you mentioned in the stray observations—it's another pretty great example

So…is this a trimonthly feature, or will this prove to be what the kids call "meta"?

So many unanswered questions…

Yeah, late to the party, and it won't affect the overall grade, but D+ sounds about right.

C+ seems about right for the episode, but I'd give the season as a whole a C-, I think. The least worst team won, I think that's a given, but good grief all the likable teams got eliminated way too early this year.

Ah, Nickelodeon's classic game shows. To think, even for a second, at least one of them was coming back (I was too excited to notice the time; I realize now that 10 would probably be too late for a kids' game show)…you raised my hopes and dashed them quite expertly, WoT, bravo!

What a sad comment, I simply must say. I certainly hope something can brighten their day.

I get what you mean, I think, but a C grade is, by definition, what you'd give to an "average" episode of anything.

C-, being generous. I'm beginning to think I watched this episode wrong or something.

Um…

F: Rose
M: Donna
K: Martha

First episode B-; second episode strong B; overall: B.

and that means a lot.

To finish up, because I can't seem to actually edit on an iPhone, I felt like I could see RTD's characters, if not the specific stories, pretty much anywhere else—the show didn't feel special or unique at all. That's different with Moffat. It's an adventure show again now, whatever the flaws

See, this. To cut things down into overly simplistic terms—and this may be another variation on the old fandom vs new fandom divide—I think it comes down to what you're looking for in a TV show. RTD seemed to write/show run things that I could find maybe anywhere else on TV. When I tuned in to Doctor Who, I didn't

I always thought it was "a hundred men or more"…maybe Mark's just a really popular fella?

South Park: "Helen Keller! The Musical"

HOLY CRAP, LEONARD'S A ZOMBIE!!!!!!

He's ambishooterous.

So, my dissertation committee is reviewing my proposal now, for I think the third time, and I'm kind of ridiculously nervous, so if you can spare any happy thoughts, I'd be happy to receive them. (I've defended it as much as I think I can at this point, and I've been sent outside while they deliberate behind closed
