2009. What a year to set this episode. Same one I graduated college. Now I feel pretty old and VERY under accomplished.

And Constantine doesn’t?

I half-expected a joke about the time travel rules in Avengers: Endgame.

I totally forgot about Kenny Li before this episode.

Now that LoT, Supergirl, and Superman & Lois are in the same universe now, I would expect more of the Legion of Superheroes from the 31st Century to show up.

They’d better invite the rest of the Beeboverse’s heroes to the wedding, like they did with Barry and Iris’.

And Nates and Behrad, the walking contact high. Now I forget what else are his powers. Does he or Zari have the Air Totem?

I had to laugh at Mick being the responsible adult in the beginning, having been on the Waverider as long as Sara, and Ava’s checklist of letting everybody do their own thing (Constantine using magic, Mick drinking, Behrad getting high) because that somehow gets results, and it asking what’s Astra’s deal.

I think he got closer to classically heroic after joining the West Coast Avengers, where he befriended, of all people, the Scarlet Witch.

Setting fire to the children’s wing of the hospital? Dick move, Lex. I noticed there was no explicit mention of evacuating everybody there. Which should have been a job for Superman.

Good point about Brainy. Surely Superman fought Brainiac in the past of this universe. And one episode of Supergirl’s first season matched her up against Indigo, a.k.a. Brainiac-8.

That movie was pretty much an excuse to party at George Clooney’s Italian villa on the studio’s dime.

Wait, did she play Sally Sparrow in the “Blink” episode?

Yeah, but done well, it’s still funny, so that’s why they do it. To me, great comedy is taking the piss out of anything meant to be serious by taking parts that should be serious to their most absurd extremes. Also helps that “period drams” are so cliché now, yet award shows soil themselves with glee over them.

WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!

My recollection of living through the 90's is kinda fuzzy (I may have watched TO MUCH TV, even then), but I think the outfits Cisco and Chester disguised themselves with are more late-80's/early-90's. I guess because the late 90's didn’t have much of one signature “look” to them, but several, depending on which genre

Colin Jost was merciless to Matt Gaetz and I loved it. I also thought the visiting college sons sketch was the best one.

Did those hacks steal the mantra of the Assassin’s Creed and change a couple of words? That’s just lazy.
