Are Ronal teddy bears still around? Hello AWOT circa 2001.
Tank is rather small for anything considered road usable. If the whole point of it is to ride it to the trails, through the trails, and back home then you’re going to be wanting for fuel capacity. 10k is a lot of coin. Honda is late to the game here but good on them for adding to the lineup.
Or just get a Vitpilen 401, which is half the price and probably just as fun and arguably looks cooler.
Tis but a very geeky joke. Zack is a helluva fun dude and an excellent motorcycle journalist. He can normally be seen in an aerostitch roadcrafter suit (dorkiest of dorky non-hipster gear that exists).
Structural Blue... lol...but it was a solid color choice for a show car. The red used on the Mazda concept was excellent as well. More of these, less of black. Totally agreed.
Usually I don’t get so lucky, but I was looking for a Repu and I stumbled upon the Skyline, Time Shifter, AND Datsun in a grocery store display. Total win.
It’s not for everyone, but it sure sounds like you had your mind made up long before you threw a leg over. Self defeating a bit?
Did they fix that whole grenading engine thing?
The proper name of this particular model should be BMW 1M Coupe. Or 1 series M Coupe
The wheels look perfect. I'm a huge fan of the spectraflame on the super, but must admit that the bare metal has a certain appeal to it.
Glad you got them! I hadn’t seen them locally yet and figured it was rare to run into a case like that right as they put it on the sales floor.
My mind is officially blown. I was there Saturday July 2nd in the morning and left it right on top. There were a couple of other interesting cars that I also left behind.
Jefferson Valley, NY at a TRU
The Duke looks sexy af. Review forthcoming, or did I miss it? Do want.
XSR700 coming stateside? Seems like it might be the better version. Though I’m confused, do the XSR lines compete against...what? The FZ 07/09 already seem like they are the Duke 690/Street Triple/new SV650 fighters.
Need this on the East Coast.
Bit of a tangent...FZ-07, new SV650, Monster 696/796, new Duke 690? Inquiring minds need to know.
Never having any interest in military stuff I was admittedly a little confused and perhaps even bothered the first time I saw a FA post on Jalopnik. However, more and more I found that your articles were the ones which I kept an eye out for and found to be most interesting. Excellent reporting and stories.
If you are a new rider, do you want to buy the baby Scrambler, or a 390 Duke/CB500F + a full set of quality gear (and maybe even some extras) for the same price?
I can’t explain in my own words, but maybe this will help:
