Why is that awesome? I'm from Jersey (living in PA now) and I hate it every time I have to fill up in NJ because I have to wait for the usually very slow attendant to come by and pump my gas

That's like basic Driver's Ed. They teach that everywhere, as far as I know.

I love notebooks, and I buy more than I'll ever use. I have a bookshelf with nothing but blank journals and sketchbooks on it, including a few that are still in the wrapper (a Moleskine, in fact). I've never used Field Notes, but I've given some as a gift. I keep thinking I'll use new notebooks, but I know I'll

I have to say, same here. :) Researching the nominees for this Hive exposed me to a lot of notebooks I hadn't been familiar with, and now suddenly need to own!

On a lot of sites you can use the "Reader" button in Safari to read multi-page articles on one page.

For some people, cost will always be the bottom line, and getting from point a to point b will always be the most important thing. That's fine! Stick to the dollar store spiral. I'm willing to bet a lot of people agree with you. :)

Sometimes a glowing screen can’t replace the feel and flexibility of old fashioned pen and paper. We’ve already

Sounds like you didn't do your homework. All of these points are obvious, and well known.

If you move in with less than $7-8k in liquid cash, you're a fool. The instant your HVAC acts up and you need to replace it, or your roof leaks, of basement floods, or your windows leak over the wintertime... that money is more than gone.

The problem is, especially in my area, that districts are constantly changing. So that school up the street? Your kids aren't going there, they'll be bussed down town.

love 1password and the browser extension for chrome and the ios app, this app cant be any more perfect

As some people have said, it's primarily a choice of OS for me. I'm happy with iOS, and therefor I don't even think about different models. I have an iPhone and I'll probably use it til it breaks. Of course, I also don't think about new models because upgrading your phone all the time is a pretty expensive luxury!

The article should say "which android phone" because the difference between platforms certainly matters. Personally I thinks Samsung makes the absolute ugliest of the high end phones (both in device and software) so that rules them out. Motorola can't do cameras worth a damn so for me that rules them out. I am

What is wrong with iTunes? I haven't found a media player that comes close to it, yet.

I'll tell you what's immoral; making a rule that moviegoers can't bring in their own food and then charging $5 for a "small" soda.

Why? What's the difference between saying "here is a list of gifts I have approved and would like you to maybe buy for me" and saying "you might as well give me that $50 you're going to spend on the bread maker that I didn't register for and won't use." How is one "tacky" but not the other?

I respectfully disagree with all the reasons cited except for the monetary considerations. "Being forced" to do something one way or not being able to look something up online is more of an inconvenience to me than it is a way to get me to "connect" to the real world. Choosing when and how to connect to the real

Those of us who love our pens know that they can be more than just a writing instrument that we toss out and

"pushed?" I mean, you have the option to, you know, *not* use their credit monitoring. And it doesn't cost you any money unless you specifically sign up for the advanced service - it's completely free to everyone.
