I was afraid of a little song overload this episode but nope it delivered. Josh Chan looking and sounding fiiineeee in Ping Pong Girl and my friend and I texted each other REPRISE at the exact same moment when that unexpected I Could If I Wanted To reprise popped up!

Considering I'd just read an issue where The Flash fights Mr. Element where Barry explains the principles of all the elements he has to go up against, I was cackling with delight at the Droste Effect "Flash Fact"

I actually picked up volume one of Silver Age Flash at my library right before this episode aired. So, yeah, the SOLVING PROBLEMS WITH SCIENCE WHILE EXPLAINING IT, Jesse trapping The Top in a whirlwind and LET'S MULTIVERSE SHOP FOR A NEW WELLS were all incredibly Silver Age and I was delighted.

Maple Leaf Rag /did/ give me flashbacks to my piano lessons. …More Ragtime The Musical than actual Ragtime.

What's up everybody? Nice to be back! This was a /solid/ start to the season. I don't like the new theme song as much as the old one, but oh boy does it show that Rebecca is an OTT theater kid.

Y'know what? I thought this was an A episode. It was SOLID. Sure, it was unhappy, but it was solid and it gave me feelings and Carlos Valdes knocked it out of the PARK. Both with his acting and the fact that I was screaming because ONE STEP CLOSER TO VIBE

Barry's main feature in the comics was "bland" and I'm glad they've changed that

I was GRINNING at Superman shaking everyone's hands

This episode was a COMPLETE DELIGHT and I felt like there was sunshine in my heart. The last time I felt that watching the show was the Supergirl/Flash crossover but this was MORE

Flashpoint!Cisco was looking especially fine.

There's probably a difference between "fucking around for power/influence" and "my husband has described this dude as a god and wants to fuck him" (she'd probably be fine with it though)

I thought it was more of a "hey let's work together" thing, but that's probably me being optimistic.

He also wants to know him in the biblical sense.
