Of course not everyone has this option, but in my building (we are only one of many companies in the building) we get “free” access to the exercise room (I am sure there is some charge in the contract my company has, but I am not part of that, so “free” gets quotes) It includes a shower room area. It isn’t very big,

I tried this trick for all the area codes I could think of for the “Kroger’s reward card” to get discounts on gas. None of the 6 area codes I could think of were in the system. Not saying it isn’t used, but the 6 I could remember (all Texas area codes) didn’t work. I wonder if they wiped them out of the system due to

Being from Dallas, and having a story during the transition from 7 to 10 digits, you will love this.

Opps, my bad. Completely glossed over that bit of information. :)

So much this. I don’t do marathons, haven’t gotten past a 5k yet (need literal time/training to get to that distance) but if it wasn’t for minimalist shoes, I would be at the 500m at most. :)

“Btw- wasn’t Paul Walker like dating a 17 year old when he died???”

Wait, what is wrong with our Smarties? I don’t normally eat sugary things like that, but I didn’t know they were defective.

My father was a pilot for a major US airline. As a child (80's - 90's), I flew many many flights “stand by”. I have spent many many long hours in airport terminals. A few times it took longer to fly than drive, by ~8 hours.

$424 each on my 06 s2000.

My BFF from High School (we are in our 40's now) was told by his expecting wife that they needed an F150 Crew Cab for the new child. He had an 08 TL. They only had one child, and to this day he is still driving that F150 his wife made him get, while she and the child are driving around in a Fusion. It turns out, she

Flonase OTC is like $20 or a bit more. Via Script, it is $4.99 or cheaper.

When I lived in an apartment many years ago, it was prewired for Cable TV. If you did not purchase Cable TV, they plugged your cable that came out of the wall into the antenna on the roof of the building (multi-building setup, each building had 8 apartments, 4 on each floor).

Not really. It is difficult for those that won’t take the time to look under the car and see the plates the jack pushes on. Or read the manual that comes with the car. Or search for a simple, “how to do I change a tire on my 2005 Camry”. Lets face it, its a Camry driver in this scenario.

Depending on the car you drive (Nissan seem to have this more than others) the car will rev match when you change gears. If not, you have to yourself. Minimal wear on the clutch that way.

What does it say if I heard all of them except the second to the last? It was obviously harder as time went on, but the second to the last I barely heard and the last I could hear without issue.

Can’t say anything towards the Pi, but I have run Ubuntu on many junk laptops (literally junk, as in I pulled them from the Electronic Recycle Bin at work) and none have had issues with sound. I even ran a poweredge 2950 with a usb generic soundcard that “just worked” when I plugged it in. Maybe I am just lucky?

This will probably stay in the grays (let me out!), but anyone on Android needs to check out “Should I Answer?”

Makes sense. One of our cats LOVES the idea of outside, but when given the opportunity remembers that it is outside and not inside. She proceeds to run back in and hides behind one of the dogs.

I’m sorry to hear about your cat and especially the vet’s office. All my animals love the vet. (2 cats, 2 dogs) Even one of our dogs that had cancer removed (along with the leg it was destroying) and an ACL replacement in that office. She is almost 2 years cancer free, and still tripod-ing around the house.

This. Back in the 80's my father was a pilot and his co-pilot was pulled for a random drug screening test. He was literally eating a poppy seed muffin in the terminal when he got the page. It took him 4 months to get back on rotation. It almost ruined his career.
