1. That’s not a selfie. I know English is an evolving language but that’s not a fucking selfie, otherwise any goddamn photo with a face on it is a selfie.

I’m surprised people aren’t mentioning what I think is the most obvious reason people think it’s a hoax: it sounded like a stupid urban legend from the start. “Putting flyers on windshields to steal your car” stupid.
Oh I don’t know, maybe...
Well, I think not apologizing for the barely-there sponsorship would’ve been the bare minimum. I don’t think a PR statement saying, “we support anyone who will give us money, some of whom you don’t like, deal with it” would’ve been out of the question either.
Congratulations to Anheuser-Busch for running a campaign that’s so disastrous it has not only enraged the astroturfed blowback to the original campaign, it has also made everybody else mad at them for not at least like “Checking on on Dylan to see is she’s okay.”
Security clearance for government agencies don’t ask if you’ve ever been a stripper or if you watch porn. They do ask for employment history, drug use history, finance/credit history, etc. They ask for references and actively check those references. The goal is primarily to find out if you can be compromised. Some…
we have to make sure some guy named Christian continues raking in millions for his app
That’s not really what the bill is about. It’s about making sure that development in Mojave Desert communities avoids the trees as much as possible. They do terribly when transplanted, typically dying.
And yes, there was already a law, but it was weak and inconsistently enforced.
Yeah, it’s Paramount taking a dump on the fanbase, which is nothing new.
“No U.S. Olympic team has ever had more than one Olympic all-around winner.”
Agreed. Prodigy has a better chance of being picked up than other shows in its position.
I can’t recall the source, but I believe the Picard rumor is partly true. Tuvok’s scene with Seven in the series finale, where she is promoted to Captain, was originally supposed to include Janeway and Harry Kim (also a Captain) as well. It was cut because Harry Kim can never be anything but an Ensign for budget…
IMO casting this as Paramount taking a dump on Mulgrew is a bit of hyperbole.
It’s good to remember that, reportedly, Janeway wasn’t allowed to appear in Picard s3 because she was considered exclusive to Prodigy. I forget if it was theorized or confirmed, but Tuvok’s appearances (especially the one at the end where Seven is promoted to Captain) may have originally been planned for Janeway. So…
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure about the series at the start, but by the end I was sold on it. The kids were given opportunity to grow, we had some plot threads laid down for the next season. I want to see where the next steps in these characters journey goes. My kid (the target audience!) enjoyed watching it with me!…
I love me a good Tuvix joke, but Janeway really was a fine character and Kate Mulgrew was exemplary in the role. It’s disappointing to see Prodigy go down this way.
Captain Janeway / Voyager is my jam always and forever.
Not gonna lie — Voyager wasn’t my thing (it was my wife’s thing); probably at the bottom of my Trek viewing lists.
I wonder if overcorrection is also at play. Deedee Blanchard intentionally gave incorrect family medical history and identity information to keep anyone from connecting the dots and she fired the doctor who told her Gypsy didn’t need a wheelchair because she didn’t have muscular dystrophy.
Same thing happened with the Duggar kids. Jimmy Bob kept all the money and signed all the contracts with TLC even when the kids were adults. They had zero accounting of how Jim Bob spent the money.
