The Britney thing always makes me wonder something. There have been male celebrities who went off the rails publicly, made very poor decisions, mismanaged their own money badly, and/or trusted the wrong people. Guys like Mike Tyson and Charlie Sheen. Would they be under conservatorship too if their families had pushed

Even if she needs to be under a conservatorship, I don’t understand why she can’t have a say in WHO her conservator is?

Helps them concentrate.

(Strolls into the internet, sweeps the floor, shuts off the lights, flips around the “Open” sign to “Closed.”)

So the reverse Sanjay effect?  Where his collective loathing is what forced him to stay?  I’m reading a chinese fan fiction novel because social media is the devil and popped it into my feed and I’m more intrigued by the social ideals underlying it than anything else and this seems so much in their worldview.  If

Belated? Her EGOT, Kennedy Center Honor, and Presidential Medal of Freedom wins seem an awful lot like respect to me.

It’s usually glaringly obvious when they’ve dubbed someone else’s singing voice over another actor. There are enough actors who can sing well, so why not just hire someone who can do the whole job, instead of trying to patch over half a performance?

He’s rewarded in Hollywood because his father has been a Vogue photographer for ages and his mother is an opera director. His siblings are also in entertainment. He is the very definition of nepotism.

Tragedies have happened, yes, but the safety record for spaceflight is actually pretty exceptional, given the risks involved.

Supposedly McCain does that to herself. The stylist was tired of people accusing her of deliberately messing with McCain, and she had to make a statement.

Easy. They are rewarded well for their blind support. Remember Aunt Lydia and Serena Joy? Like that.

I suspect makeup artists are secretly sabotaging them. See also: Mitt Romney’s brown face on Univision about ten years ago.

They are horrified by these actions and regret to inform you that they will, in fact still support, whatever thing they’re horrified by.

What is it with Republicans and skin bronzer!?  They tend not to care about people of color, then turn around and tint themselves orange.

Thank god that seems to be the general consensus. Reading the piece actually put me in a funk. Even if the couple were “gentrifiers,” it is absolutely no justification for what happened. And I REALLY don’t get why the writer seems to suggest that walking a cat on a leash is some kind of offensive behavior? This family

Congrats, this might be the worst take I’ve seen on this story yet.

Or if you have to have something that ‘explodes’, go down to a 7-11. buy a bag of balloons, stick a tube down the neck, pour in some appropriately-colored confetti, then inflate them and tie them off. Then you can use a pin to pop them and fling confetti around. With all of the crazy gender reveal stunts, there’s too

Welp, I made the mistake of clicking the links and reading more about the story. The kid apparently stomped on the cat and threw her up in the air so hard that she died. Then the other 7 people in the family beat the shit out of the lady until bystanders pulled them off her.

This seems like a lot of reaching for rationalization. Sometimes people are violent assholes, and they often take it out on defenseless animals. I very much doubt gentrification had anything to do with it.

Man, if someone gets so in their feelings about a cat on a leash that they have to commit assault, imagine what they might do if they see a gender nonconforming person, or someone with an obvious disability, or any of a cornucopia of other things that might make a person visibly “different”.
