I actually think it makes their scenes more interesting, rather than less, that they seem to have this borderline sexual energy that they’d never act on. Then again, it’s probably not something Chibs intended when he wrote this, I think Sacha Dhawan and Jodie Whittaker are just very attractive people with some insane

Missy’s redemption arc was one of my favourite things this show’s done in a long time, but paradoxically, I have no problem with The Master just being back to straight evil with no explanation. if you follow the idea that each incarnation of the Doctor is a reaction to the previous’ characteristics - which I firmly

Maybe she’s psychic and saw that acceptance speech of his coming... yikes. Joaquin is so talented but he should never accept awards in person.

I imagine that Time Lords tend to have flux views of each other tbh. Sure, some more questions would be helpful, but the Doctor has every reason to think this is a far-flung future Master. It’s reasonable to be like “So I haven’t seen my friend in a 1,000 years and he’s gone crazy again...”

Tennant and Sims definitely wanted to bang.

I mean the fascists lost in her war back then, yeah. Nowadays however . . .

It’s that Palpatine blood

Sacha Dhawan might have had even more sexual tension as Davos with Danny on Iron Fist

The Master coming back despite being unequivocally dead is decidedly his gimmick, and I don’t want to know how he regenerated since frankly who cares, but I was hoping for a little acknowledgement of Missy’s face turn.

Much like the Doctor’s relationship with River Song, the relationship with the Master doesn’t follow a straight line. If we are to believe that Missy was truly and most sincerely dead, then this new version of the Master is from earlier in the timeline.

I can’t decide if Jodie Whittaker & Sacha Dhawan having sexual tension as the doctor & the master is more or less wrong when they were gender-flipped and the same was true of Peter Capaldi & Michelle Gomez. Though actually David Tennant and John Simm might have had the most overt heat

I loved that the current companions thought the doctor had replaced them with her team of legendary heroic ladies of history, which honestly would have been an amazing TARDIS crew

I’ve decided I’m fine with the Master being both back and dangerously homicidal without a big explanation. He’s much more fun this way. As for the re-razing of Gallifrey, I similarly expect it will all get sorted out again eventually, and with nearly as little explanation, just as soon as this or a future showrunner

I am pretty sure over the course of the series there have been at least 3 or 4 times The Master “died” and then showed up again without the slightest attempt at an explanation, it is practically his whole deal at this point

I liked this two-parter, but it feels as if it took an entire season for the writers (Chibnall very much included) to get over their hang-ups about what NOT to do with a female Doctor, and start thinking about what TO do with her as a character. Whittaker’s Doctor is finally starting to take on a persona of her own,

And it’s working. There has already been another attack in Kenya in which 3 Americans were killed (one service member and 2 defense contractors).

Because when anyone calls out racism they must be stopped.

“ ‘ ..did she just womansplain sex?he thought. Luckily there was so little blood going to his brain he couldn't hold that though...

How was this article misogynistic exactly?
