It was very weird to me, the intercutting between the movie and the stage. And the audience was WAY too hyped up at the beginning, I wanted to hear the singing, not the cheering. So yeah, it wasn’t bad, but it was odd and the audience was distracting.

I’m too lazy to scroll up to see the voice of Moana’s name, but there was a point where she just went totally atonal for some reason (the big “Part of Your World” / splash of water behind her on the rock thing).

Who gets to break it to him, everyone?

Agreed on “Fathoms Below”. That was the best part thanks in large part to those pros dancing their asses off.

It was odd and definitely disappointing. And for a Disney production in particular, the choice to just mostly run the movie felt unforgivably lazy. They’re pumping all this time and energy into live remakes and Broadway versions of all of their classics and not-quite yet classics, they have a huge advertising blitz

I’d rather have that situation than continue to be ruled by 70 year old white dudes who have literally broken the planet with their greed.

Heh, likely do to the screaming audience. As if it was the VMAs

And there was something about this overall that made it feel like I was watching musical interludes during an awards show”

Exactly.

I was expecting something closer to a full stage show, so I was disappointed finding out at the start, that it was mainly going to just play the movie. Like a substitute teacher who has nothing to offer the class.

Oh, that’s disappointing. I thought it was going to be a live performance of the stage musical where they all go around on roller skates to look like they’re moving through the water. XD

And let’s not forget Richie Rich, the movie that made me believe that all rich people had their own personal McDonald’s.

I told people I watched all three eps of the Morning Show and when they ask “Is it good?” all I can say is “Well... i watched all three eps in one night so... I don’t know?” I guess the smart thing Apple did was get a good cast, because I like all the actors involved, though this might be the last smug a-hole Billy

Well, the one nice thing about the small line-up is anyone can pony-up $5 and watch pretty much all of it in one month and then cancel. In that way, its not a bad deal I guess.

I think APPLE would like it to be for everyone. I think it is mainly for those of us who already have it free, and people who REALLY want to watch one of these shows--which is probably not that many people.

Get back to us on whether those orphans are children or murder dwarves!

Mix in “I didn’t know she wasn’t under 18" and you’ve got one hell of a story.

Disney will do whatever they want. I’m surprised they don’t have an elite force of spec ops soldiers called the “Goof Troop” who bust into people’s houses for pirating their stuff by now.

Maybe something about selling food without a permit might screw him?

My guess is it has something to do with the advertising. Krispy Kreme can’t actually confirm he is selling their doughnuts but he is absolutely using their branding. In theory he could be buying off-brand doughnuts and selling them as Krispy Kreme products.

weird question but could an allergy be counted as a disability via the ADA? I get sanitizing the entire kitchen just for a single allergen is way outside what the ADA would consider “within reason” but if you just asked “no cashews in my salad please, I’m allergic” and they refused that seems like it could fall under
