Anyone read the Christopher Pike book that was basically this story?

I feel horrible for Alec, it was not his fault.  To say it could be is cruel. 

I’m sad it was canceled.  It went on for so long and the decision to rotate out casts really kept things fresh.  I hope we get a Degrassi Another generation in the next few years, maybe with Jenna’s kid.

I watched this when I saw a preview of the CBS show a couple months ago.  It’s just delightful.  The best part (which I’m guessing won’t happen with the US show) is that the show was just allowed to exist with there being no big mystery to solve or ghost souls to save.

Having it set in college is much better than having it set in HS. I don’t know why more teen shows/movies don’t do this. It gives so much more room to have fun without moving into as much implausibility (the GG kids drinking at bars) and you can do things like have your characters date teachers without it being a…

I don’t see that as a bad thing. Poor people aren’t losing out on clothes because of this. There are piles of extra clothes going into landfills and to Africa.  It allows the thrift stores to make money.

WalMart is typically cheaper than thrift stores when it comes to bare bottoms prices.

Why aren’t people going after the national orgs? They’re the ones with the real power to change their local chapters (which is why sororities are run so differently than fraternities). Sue the national organizations.

There has recently been a case of a ballet star and her husband that came out and has really rocked the ballet world. Horrific accusations and she was choreographing and working with students all around the country.

Or anyone, this book sounds mean and disrespectful to everyone she is gossiping about.

People need to realize that "I prefer not to discuss this" is acceptable.  I'm sure it's complicated when someone you knew has accusations and you know what.  You can just say nothing.
