One of the things I constantly think when watching ... IBO... is that it would be a great sci-fi show even without the Gundam brand.

Orphans is the best Gundam series since 00, in my opinion. I like that it’s been light on giant robot fights and long on character development. The world feels lived-in, like everything has a story worth caring about.

What really stands out for me this year is Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans. Compared to other Gundam series, this show is just so intimate and heavy. And they cut to the credit song at the most perfect times.
