It's a surprisingly well-plotted show, looks good, and contains a couple of really good performances from the regular cast. The show's demonstrated a willingness to grow past its initial conceits. Fundamentally, that's good genre television.

:(
Yeah, that's the only one I can think of. The only other story with Tom Baker stuck in a pit in The Creature From The Pit, and there's nothing scary about that one at all. Hilarious, yes. Scary… no~oo.
The one that always feels odd to me is D. Morgan's often forgotten contribution to Blood, the second season episode about a town that comes under the influence of holographic displays driving them to violence. In some ways it feels like a Morgan script, very much like Cophrages with the set of repeating…
Yeah, she got pregnant that year and couldn't come back, IIRC. I want to say that Alan Dale's character was a replacement for her, but I couldn't say for certain.
Surprisingly decent show.
James Cameron's work on Dark Angel, perhaps. He only directed two episodes, one each season, but I sense that he was consistently involved in the direction of the show's narrative.
Eugh, I suck. You're completely right.
Even more interesting, it isn't a generational thing. Looking at British cinema back to the 60s, it is pretty common to see little kids being violent and destructive.
But Jasmine was his Lenore! His one true love! His—
I disagree. There's the mounting tension between Banshee's three major factions, which seem to be involved in the season's end-game, Hood's "son", Deputy Lotus and Kai seem to be gunning for Hood… there's enough material alone there for two seasons — ignoring Nola's inevitable return, the FBI investigation and Rabbit.
Nope, it was definitely 01's girlfriend, Princess.
Love, love, love The Hour. Beautifully shot show, with a strangely delicate tone and a great cast.
Yes! yes yes yes!
IIRC, I believe the show completely changed them twice. Once in the first five or so, and then again around episode eleven. Apparently one of the producers became over-invested in the actress that played 01's girlfriend, and demanded that she get more face-time, resulting in an increase in the number of scenes of her…
I love how much of a piss-take Chess is of the way villains become obsessed with chess metaphors. Not just his chess-shaped irises, which are fucking ridiculous, but he's got a chess based secret computer display, which seems otherwise incomprehensible. Frain's obviously hilarious too, and that was such a brilliant…
Really? I've though that this season was stronger than last, though the nudity's never been something I've needed from the show.
Shit, did I miss the premier!? Thanks for the head's up.
Other shorter British shows that it'd be worth your time checking out:
Help me guys. Knowing nothing about it, I've started watching… *gulp* The Cape, and I kind of unironically love it. I mean, I recognise its got some flaws, but I think it's hilarious and entertaining. But from my online reading, apparently everyone hates it. ;_;
