Yeah, the flashback episode made her actually scary in a way that the character hadn't been at that point. I don't think the final scene would have worked without it.

" it's the only real Sci Fi show on television"

Yeah, my bad. I can't be the only person who gets the two mixed up though.

She's just got a new show too. Some JJ Abrahms thing, which means they'll inevitably not know what to do with her half the time (Oh hai Lance Reddick! How ya doing? Still sitting on your ass? Thought so.)

(It's five right? Three and five were probably the show's strongest seasons for me, and some of the strongest television seasons out there.)

The reveal with Pete's mother made me feel physically ill. The Bob Benson twist felt like a step too far, Kind of want Pete to absolutely destroy Benson.

Alex Dimitriades is a quite famous actor over here. The equivalent of casting, I don't know, David Tennant in the Uk in terms of respectability (though Australia doesn't have a comparable star system to even the UK's). There were quite a few famous Australian actors who took guest starring roles on the show because it

Jack's got a blind spot when it comes to Will, at the very least. He doesn't seem to have much empathy for the mentally ill, just a lot of knowledge. That's been useful previously (his certainty about Abigail) but it also means he's having difficulty understanding why Will can't just pull himself together.

You are so wrong. That little thing Dhavernas did in the office when she riled at Will choosing to restrain her even though she clearly thought she didn't need it? Loved it.

FISTULAS

I'm loving the actress who plays Delphine, though. She's killing it, and making the most of the way this show allows its actors more autonomy to make honest/creative/unusual choices. Manslay, Gavaris, Michael Mando and whoever's playing Ainsley are doing something similar, and I'm impressed. Reminds me of Farscape.

More moral than Brienne!?

"Ooh! Is that a FINGER STRAIGHTENER!? :3"

Olivier threw the coat on Paul because Paul was just there, and it was convenient  Sarah brushed it off Paul because Paul's not a coat rack, and then dumped it on the floor because Olivier's a total hatstand.

American Horror Story!?

Eh, I dunno. His Ben Wishaw is uncanny.

" But because it operates in the millieu of insanely dark crime procedurals rather than quirk-laden small town hijinks, the audience expects greater realism."

You don't want them to do that with every character?

Ava's totally going to prison. Or is at least going to be arrested. Some kind of trial arc could be good, perhaps. Especially if they can lock down a return from Stephen Root for an arc.

Scene would have been just as effective without the dog. Beaver could have sold it. Easy.
