I'm with you. I feel kind of uppity buying the fancy, grain-free, expensive cat food but it's worth it if it keeps them healthy.

As far as dogs go, one thing that my wife and I do is buy high quality, organic dog food with mostly meat. We don't feed our dog anything with corn in it, he doesn't get table scraps and eats the recommended amount of food each day, which is about 1.5 cups per day for a 30lb dog.
